Asymm Project's leader Dollah Zainal has used the Germany Tour podium press conference to send an unusual message. Even though the room was first confused by the statement, he made himself clear:
"I am not a man. I don't mean I'm a girl. And I don't mean I'm a pussy for not being able to win Germany Tour. I think that Heidel was unstoppable, but that doesn't even matter now.
"I mean, literally, that I am not a man. I've been in talks with the team and they've been very supportive with me. None of us had a problem with explaining this, but we didn't want the OCM forbidding us from riding again. Once we knew this wouldn't happen, we decided to go on.
"I just wanted to tell you that I shit on your gender binarism. There is more than girls and boys. And I shit on your sexual assignment: you're not allowed to know what do I have inside my pants, because that doesn't even matter. I am not a man. I am not a girl. I am not trans. And I do not have "one of each". I am queer. I am a person, and that's more than enough."
Asymm Project hopes that the OCM can move on from gender binarism and women exclusion, and is proud to have Zainal as the first rider of the OCM coming out as not a man.

Great idea ! I support Dollah, tough he took the malaysian champ jersey from the shoulders of my leader Yusoff after 3 seasons wearing it...
Mr/Ms/Xx Zainal please sign under our petition to allow women teams in ocm...
Maybe he or she or whatever should talk to Raul
The Abominable Cyclist.
This PR don't make a whole lot of sense...
IT did not say anything when IT was in my team...
